I Walked in Town

I walked in town
And I saw poor street children in cold
I thanked God for the roof on my head

I walked in town
And the grotesque sight of disabled kids
Chewing plastics and begging for a coin
Took me aback making me whisper a prayer
Thanking God for food He provided

I walked in town
And beautiful but morally depraved girls
Lured me into sexual sin
Their curves like the finest Greek sculpture
Zigzaged my stroll like a drunk
And I thanked God He had me
I thank God that He chose me
And I was the brach of His vine
